About

Dawn Chisholm launched Aurora Assessments in 2005. With 12 years of combined experience as a rehabilitation clinician and private practitioner, Dawn has established a specialized practice which focuses on the medical legal field. She has practiced in community rehabilitation, orthopedic acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, case management and also has extensive experience in pediatrics. Solid research and current evidence based practice is the foundation for Aurora Assessments comprehensive assessments and written reports.

Aurora Assessments is based in Golden, British Columbia, servicing interior British Columbia and Southern Alberta clientele. Dawn has also lived and worked in the Yukon Territory and Nunavut and welcomes and accepts referrals from these and other northern locales. Dawn Chisholm received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph in 1993. In 1996 she received a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University, and was awarded with the University Prize for Special Achievement for research which was later published in A Program Evaluation Workbook for Occupational Therapy: An Evidence-based Practice Tool.

Dawn Chisholm is a registered practitioner with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, the International Association of Life Care Planners, the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists, and the British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists. Dawn is also an active member of her local community and in her spare time can be found playing in the mountains.
